RESONIKS’ Employee Stories - Meet Jari leppakoski

At RESONIKS, our team shape who we are, our culture, innovation, and everyday energy. Today, we’re proud to spotlight Jari Leppäkoski.

Jari joined Team RESONIKS in January 2026 as Senior Product Manager, and already feels like a long-time team member. With his warm personality and calm, thoughtful presence, he brings confidence and clarity to everything he does.

Jari also brings strong expertise in product, service, and sales development. His ability to understand customer expectations, assess value perception, and leverage multicultural sales experience enables him to clearly define, communicate, and measure customer value, helping RESONIKS deliver solutions that truly resonate with our customers.

We’re excited to share his story.

About Me

Since graduating in 1990, I’ve had a long and varied career working in large companies such as Fortum, Nokia, AF Consult (now AFRY), and Valmet. Along the way, I’ve worked across R&D, product management, sales, and business management roles. Over time, I’ve transitioned from being a specialist into more of a generalist. My focus has gradually shifted away from pure technology toward understanding what technology can actually enable, and more importantly, how people use it and the value it creates for them.

Why do I enjoy being part of the RESONIKS team?

Being part of RESONIKS has been a genuinely eye-opening experience for me. What stands out most is the clarity of purpose in the culture. There’s a real, tangible focus on both growing the company and taking care of the people behind it. Having spent much of my career in large organizations, I’ve often seen a gap between what is said and what is actually done. At RESONIKS, I simply don’t see that gap. What we say, we do. That alignment makes a big difference in how meaningful the work feels.

What did I want to be when I grew up?

My idea of what I wanted to become changed quite a bit over the years. At six, I wanted to be a fighter pilot. By twelve, I was convinced I’d become a novelist. At fifteen, I was fascinated by paleontology, and by seventeen, astronomy had taken over my interest. By the time I was eighteen, I had become a bit more realistic and chose to pursue engineering. Looking back, it reflects a curiosity that’s always pushed me to explore different directions before settling on a path.

What three items would I take to a deserted island?

I’d approach that quite practically. I would take a solar-powered UV water purifier to ensure access to clean drinking water, a good knife for its versatility, and a pair of excellent shoes because being able to move safely and comfortably would be essential.

What are my favourite hobbies or interests outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy a mix of activities that keep both my mind and hands engaged. I spend time reading, enjoy bicycling, and like scuba diving when I get the chance. I also find home improvement projects rewarding. These offer a good balance of creativity and practical problem-solving.

When do I come up with my best ideas?

My best ideas tend to come to me just before I wake up. It’s that moment when thoughts seem to flow more freely. Although I have to admit, I don’t always manage to remember them once I’m fully awake.
