At RESONIKS, we’re always thrilled when we find team members who truly drive both our technology and our culture and today, we’re proud to spotlight Victor who joined Team RESONIKS as a Senior Mechanical Engineer this February.
Victor brings a strong background in product development. Over the years, he has worked on designing and developing mechanical systems from early concepts to production-ready solutions, always with a clear focus on real-world performance.
We believe that great collaboration and a shared mindset are essential to building meaningful solutions, and Victor embodies both. We’re proud to have him on board and excited to share his story with you today.
About Me
I’m a Mechanical Engineer with a background in product development and a PhD in Applied Physics, focused on turning ideas into practical, working solutions. I enjoy solving real-world problems and working close to production, where design decisions directly shape manufacturing, usability, and reliability.
At RESONIKS, my work as a Senior Mechanical Engineer with CAD, CAM, and prototyping, contributes to both product development and customer projects. It’s rewarding to help bring solutions to completion and see how quickly the team turns development into a working device. For me, meaningful work comes from combining technical understanding with collaboration and seeing a clear, real-world impact from what we build.
Why do you enjoy being part of the RESONIKS team?
I appreciate the work environment and the people. There’s a strong sense of openness and inclusiveness, which makes it easy to communicate, share ideas, and ask for support. The team works in a highly collaborative way, with a clear focus on building things together rather than individually. I also value the team-building practices, which help create trust and make everyday work more enjoyable.
Another important aspect for me is seeing the impact of my work. It’s motivating when contributions quickly translate into real products and customer solutions. Overall, it’s been a very positive experience, both in terms of teamwork and my role.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
What motivates me most is working on real, tangible problems and seeing ideas evolve into practical solutions. I enjoy being in an environment where things move forward quickly and progress is visible making the work we do as a team feel meaningful.
What’s your most-used productivity hack?
It is all about clarity and structure from the very beginning. I like to break work down into smaller, manageable steps and focus on one thing at a time. It helps me stay efficient, avoid overcomplicating things, and keep a steady sense of progress. Simple in theory, but it makes a big difference in practice.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I was always curious about how things work. I liked taking things apart, figuring them out, and imagining how they could be improved or rebuilt. So even back then, the idea of building and understanding things was already there. In many ways, that curiosity has stayed the same. It just became a career along the way.
What are your favourite hobbies or interests outside of work?
I play ice hockey in a hobby league, where I still like to think I’m faster than I actually am. It’s a great way to stay active and enjoy a bit of friendly competition. I’m also really into 3D printing, often ending up with projects I didn’t plan but suddenly felt like a good idea at the time. It’s a fun extension of the same mindset I have at work, but just a bit more experimental.
And whenever possible, I travel with my family. That’s probably the one thing that reliably pulls me away from both hockey and 3D printing, and it’s always worth it.
If you were in an orchestra, which instrument would you play?
I’d probably choose the drums. I like the idea of being the one who keeps everything in rhythm and helps the group stay in sync. It’s not always about being in the spotlight, but more about supporting the whole and making sure everything works together smoothly, which is something I relate to both in work and in teams in general.
