RESONIKS' Employee Stories - Meet Fari Fàbregas

The Hague, 10 December 2024. Next up is Fari Fàbregas, who joined the RESONIKS family in July 2024 as the Executive Assistant to our CTO. Far from precision testing, Fari’s background lies in forestry, making him our resident outdoor enthusiast! From Lumberjack to Jack of all Trades, Fari does it all!

A Bit About Me

There isn’t much to say about my time as a student - I actually left high school before graduating. I may not have everything figured out, but one thing I’ve always known: if I’m going to learn, it’s going to be hands-on.

My parents have been my biggest examples of hard work and commitment to one’s responsibilities. Watching them, I’ve always tried to live up to that standard.

Whatever I do, I go all in. Whether it’s work or unwinding, I give it my all. Chopping firewood, foraging for mushrooms, biking through the city - when I get into something, there’s no slowing me down!

Why I Love Being Part of the RESONIKS Team

Working with such a diverse team is an amazing experience - there’s always something new to learn from each other, and there’s never a dull moment. Both personally and professionally, the team is truly top-notch; everyone’s dedication really shines through.

What I appreciate most is that even when things get busy, we never lose the human touch. It’s a place where you feel valued, and because of that, even the toughest tasks never feel like a chore.

My Go-To Productivity Hack

I rely a lot on my visual memory, so I keep visual cues front and center for whatever needs my attention next - usually five or more tasks I aim to tackle before midday. This means my monitor is a maze of open windows, making sure nothing slips into the background. If it’s out of sight, it’s out of mind, and for me, that’s a sure way to forget it! Keeping everything visible helps me stay on top of my game.

When I Was a Kid, What Did I Want to Be?

Growing up, we had a firewood stove at home, and every year, my dad and I would spend a weekend in the forest gathering enough wood for the winter. Little me took this very seriously - I was all in and totally convinced I wanted to be a lumberjack someday.

Fast forward a bit, and not only did I end up doing this in Spain, but I somehow managed to pull off the whole lumberjack experience again in Finland! Double the countries, double the firewood… and it still cracks me up to think I actually made it happen!

What Drew Me to RESONIKS, and What Keeps Me Here?

Joining RESONIKS wasn’t something I’d planned when the year began, but life has a funny way of leading us to unexpected places. By some twist of fate, I found myself here - and honestly, I couldn’t be happier about it.

What keeps me motivated? There’s always something interesting to dive into, and the opportunities for growth just keep coming. It’s been so fulfilling that I’m almost too busy learning and growing to even think about leaving!

If I Were in an Orchestra, What Instrument Would I Play?

Though I played the flute for years, it was purely for my own enjoyment - I was definitely not orchestra material! But the person behind the scenes, pulling the ropes to open and close the curtains? That’s more my style. Or maybe I’d even step up to introduce the ensemble to the audience - I wouldn’t mind that spotlight!

It’s possible this says a lot about my knack for staying out of the actual playing…who knows!
