The MPK801 simplifies audio capture. Each unit is calibrated and compensated to ±0.5 dB across the full 20 Hz to 80 kHz range. A single industrial M12 cable carries both data and power, with a shielded signal path and metal housing keeping the signal clean in high-EMI environments - validated on a spot-welding robot cell without disruption.

The PEK481 Network Adapter connects the microphone to your Ethernet network and powers it over the same cable, so no separate power supply is needed. Ethernet gives you what USB and analog cabling cannot: cable runs measured in hundreds of metres rather than metres, power over the network itself, and audio you can verify packet by packet.

Software & Data Integrity

Built for data you can trust

Know exactly what you capture, every time.

Know exactly what you capture, every time.

The MPK801 is engineered around the integrity of your data stream. Built-in packet-loss tracking means you always know your recording is complete, and heartbeat monitoring flags any microphone the moment it stops reporting - so nobody has to check by hand whether data is still arriving.

On-sensor calibration data, applied automatically when enabled - swap a unit and keep measuring, with no recalibration and no model retraining. Raw and compensated signals both accessible.

Heartbeat monitoring - failed unit is identified by name the moment it stops reporting

Packet-loss tracking for verified, complete recordings

Linux audio driver (ALSA) available to download - one input device, one channel per microphone, no per-device enumeration

A Windows driver and a Python API will be available at the end of 2026.

Applications

What teams build with the MPK801

What teams build with the MPK801

Predictive maintenance and condition monitoring

Rotating equipment (motors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, compressors), reciprocating machinery, valves and beyond. Each MPK801 supplies the calibrated signal your ML model needs to identify degradation before failure. One sensor per asset, one inference stream.

Process, noise and vibration monitoring

Classification, tagging and detection of acoustic events in fixed industrial installations.

Lab-to-field ML pipelines

Every MPK801 is calibrated to the same reference. Train and deploy on identical hardware, with no domain shift between prototype and production.
